5-STEP PROCESS

Q2 Marketing Research understands how important it is to get the right information from the right audience at the right time. We designed the "5-Step Process" to ensure that your time and funds are well spent on productive research efforts.

Step 1: Defining Objectives

Step 2: Research Plan

Step 3: Data Collection

Step 4: Analysis and Reporting

Step 5: Follow-up

Step 1: Defining Objectives

The research process begins with establishing clear objectives for the research — we work with each client to understand the marketing issue. Based on these issues, objectives are set with clear decision criteria for what can be done based on the results.

Step 2: Research Plan

Once the objectives are outlined, the design phase begins. After determining how the information will be used, we recommend the most effective marketing research method.

Q2 Marketing Research focuses on our core competency: Design and Analysis. With a network of expert suppliers in a variety of fields, Q2 selects the best team to work with us to facilitate the fielding of your project.

Step 3: Data Collection

Quantitative: Most studies are moderated using our in-house staff. We are trained to think as marketers so that we can maximize the learnings from each interviewing session.

Qualitative: Data collection is conducted by Q2's network of expert field organizations, and is closely supervised by Q2. Firms are selected based upon their expertise with a given methodology, or target audience. Clients are always welcome, and encouraged, to monitor the initial interviewing process.

Step 4: Analysis and Reporting

Data are thoroughly analyzed utilizing appropriate statistical tests and techniques.

Comprehensive reports are delivered at the completion of each study. This includes a detailed analysis of the results, along with brief summaries of findings and implementation recommendations. Reports are written with the busy Project Manager in mind. Client presentations are encouraged so that questions and implications can be thought through and discussed.

Step 5: Follow-Up

Projects are not complete after reports are presented. Good research, discussed in depth, raises questions that data manipulation can shed light on, or answer directly. Q2 follows up to ensure that all objectives were met, and to address any further questions.
